Michael founded AccountabilityNet in 1996. The practice has grown tremendously over the years, yet retains the personal, approachable character which is the cornerstone of the business.
Entrepreneurially minded, Michael understands the joys and frustrations of business ownership well and is a staunch advocate for small business in New Zealand.
He holds a Business Degree majoring in Accounting and is proud to act as a mentor to young entrepreneurs in the community.
Outside of work Michael is a a keen rugby supporter, Breakers fan and keen sailor.

Shigang Ma is an extraordinary man of high intelligence. Originally qualified as a medical doctor in China, Shigang retrained as an Accountant in New Zealand, graduating with a Bachelor of Business degree in 2001. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Shigang’s wealth of knowledge, and thorough understanding of the issues clients face means he relishes solving problems and finding practical solutions to all sorts of business and tax related issues.
Shigang is our resident guru of accounting systems, particularly knowledgeable with Xero, Banklink, MYOB, as well as anything “techie”.
Outside of work, Shigang enjoys the spending time with his wife and two children and the wonderful lifestyle that living in NZ offers.

Patsy has held a senior management roles in other service industries, and she truly understands the importance of clear client communication and support. Her networking skills are legendary and she partakes in a number of business networking groups to not only grow AccountabilityNet, but to also support the local business community about which she is passionate.
The mother of two adult boys, Patsy is a talented marathoner and keen gardener.
